Wanda von Bremen is an environmental photographer, artist, and ecologist who works at the intersection of science and visual storytelling to raise awareness about critical ecological issues facing our planet. With a Bachelor of Science in Nature Conservation, a Master of Arts in Ecology Futures from St. Joost School of Art & Design, and a degree from the International Center of Photography in New York, Wanda has successfully combined activism, ecology, and art to create compelling narratives that drive conservation action.
Specializing in marine ecosystems, her work focuses on kelp forests and their transformative potential for ocean health and climate change mitigation. From the polar regions of the Arctic and Antarctic to the rich coastal waters of Chile, Wanda collaborates with scientists and NGOs to tell environmental stories that highlight the fragility of these often-overlooked underwater forests and their critical role in supporting biodiversity and carbon sequestration. Her photography captures the beauty and interconnectivity of marine life, bringing attention to the urgent need for ocean conservation.
As an Ocean Innovation Designer and design thinking coach, Wanda uses her expertise to inspire others to imagine alternative futures and develop innovative solutions to complex environmental challenges. Her award-winning work has been featured in international exhibitions, and she continues to bridge science, sustainability, and visual storytelling to create impactful communication strategies for a more sustainable blue economy.
